In the morning we left Hvar for Dubrovnik and of course Alex had to leave us with one more thing to remember him by. He drove us to the city center to catch our boat and also gave us a bottle of wine for the road.
After arriving in Dubrovnik and checked into our last Airbnb before heading down to Old Town to catch our speed boat to go snorkeling in some blue and green caves of Dubrovnik. While we had a lot of fun on this excursion, it was a bit of a let down since the caves were not nearly as impressive as the photos I had seen online and because they dropped us off at a beach for 1.5 hours so that some restaurants could get a drink out of us. However, we outwitted them since our boat had unlimited drinks so we just took them from our boat 🙂

For dinner, we went to a Michelin recommended restaurant that we didn’t care for all too much, but we went because our main objective was to get grilled octopus. We had an octopus ragu and a shrimp risotto.

This marked the end for our trip and I have to say I really enjoyed myself. This was the first long trip I had taken with friends since going to Thailand in 2015. This trip was filled with tons of laughs, inside jokes, challenges and frustrations, but overall, I feel that everyone enjoyed themselves. As we were heading to the airport, I told Ryan that this is the first trip in a while where I feel excited and energized to come back home. I’m ready to take on my next challenges at work and continue to grow as a person in my new city.
Until next time…
